• Feb 2003: Scotmed and Rudolf GmbH exchange contracts to supply Rudolf
                   surgical instruments in the U.K. & Eire.

Scotmed Ltd and Rudolf GmbH were pleased to exchange contracts for the exclusive sales of Rudolf surgical instruments in the United Kingdom and Eire.

• Jan 2003: New for 2003 - Scotmed introduce surgical instrument      
                   sterilising service.

The closure of the Sterile Services Department for major renovation resulted in the Glasgow Nuffield Hospital having to consider cancellation of minor surgery procedures and clinic appointments over a four week period, until Scotmed provided a solution.

Scotmed facilitated sub contract reprocessing of the hospitals surgical instruments and procedure trays, enabling the hospital to continue to provide top quality care throughout the renovation.

• Jan 2003: The New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary choose Scotmed
                   for the supply of Herman Miller Emergency Carts.
                   

The “New” Edinburgh Royal Infirmary is a flagship PFI hospital on the outskirts of Edinburgh, providing multi disciplinary services to the populace. Scotmed have secured a contract to supply all of the Emergency Resuscitation carts to the hospital.

The modular concept carts are tough long lasting, specially built for the health care environment where durability equals exceptional value. Scotmed  worked closely with the Trust Resuscitation Training officers to design a configuration and layout of the Resuscitation carts that enables easy accessibility to vital medication and equipment in a highly stressful emergency situation.
